TruMark Financial Opens Applications for 2026 Difference Makers Scholarship

URGENT UPDATE: TruMark Financial Credit Union has just announced the opening of applications for its highly anticipated 2026 Difference Makers Scholarship program, aimed at empowering high school seniors making a significant impact in their communities. This initiative recognizes students for their outstanding volunteer work with local nonprofits, and it’s an opportunity that could change lives—both for the students and the organizations they support.

This year, a total of 10 scholarships will be awarded, with the top prize reaching $7,500. Second place will earn $4,000, while third place will receive $3,000. Additionally, every finalist will see a $350 donation made to their associated nonprofit organization, amplifying the impact of their efforts.

APPLICATION DEADLINE: Students have until April 30, 2026 to submit their applications. Candidates must be high school seniors planning to pursue further education, have completed a volunteer project, and have a supporting teacher. Eligible applicants must reside in one of five counties in Southeastern Pennsylvania: Bucks, Chester, Delaware, Montgomery, or Philadelphia.

The selection criteria are rigorous. Students will be evaluated based on the impact of their volunteer work, the number of verified hours logged, and their ability to articulate their initiative through a personal essay. Importantly, applicants must also complete financial education modules provided on the TruMark website before their applications are considered.

Last year’s Difference Makers showcased remarkable talent and innovation. Notable recipients included Jyotirmai Kadiyala, who developed a therapeutic hand model for mental health support, and Devlyn Faber, who transformed a school fundraiser into a lasting commitment to pediatric cancer awareness.

TruMark Financial Credit Union has been serving the community since 1939, currently supporting over 145,000 members through its 24 branches across Southeastern Pennsylvania. This scholarship not only aids students but also strengthens the community by fostering a spirit of volunteerism and support for local nonprofits.

As the deadline approaches, students are encouraged to act quickly. For more information and to apply, visit www.trumarkonline.org/difference-makers-scholarship. This is a chance to make a meaningful difference—don’t miss out!
