Metrolink Launches $10 Holiday Day Pass for Festive Travel

UPDATE: Metrolink has just announced a special offer for holiday travelers in Southern California. For just $10, passengers can purchase the SoCal Day Pass, which provides unlimited rides throughout the region on Christmas Day and New Year’s Day.

This limited-time pass allows for unlimited travel across Metrolink’s extensive 545-mile rail system, including the Arrow service that connects San Bernardino and Redlands. With trains operating on a weekend schedule for both holidays, this is an excellent opportunity for families and friends to explore Southern California without the hassle of parking or traffic.

On December 25 and January 1, however, note that the Riverside Line will not be in service. Unlike previous years, Metrolink will not offer special early morning trains, so travelers are encouraged to plan accordingly.

Purchasing the SoCal Day Pass is easy. It can be bought directly on the day of travel via the Metrolink mobile app or at any station ticket machine. To stay informed on service updates, travelers can sign up for Metrolink Alerts via email or text. Additionally, look for station signage and digital displays that guide you to the correct boarding platform.

Once onboard, listen for important overhead announcements, which will include upcoming station stops. Plus, take advantage of Metrolink’s free transfers to local transit agencies, including Los Angeles Metro, to navigate first- and last-mile connections seamlessly.

This holiday season, Metrolink is making travel more accessible and affordable, encouraging everyone to enjoy the festivities across the region. As families make their holiday plans, this is an opportunity to create lasting memories while exploring Southern California’s diverse attractions.

Stay tuned for more updates as the holiday travel season approaches, and make sure to grab your SoCal Day Pass for an unforgettable journey!
