UPDATE: In a groundbreaking move, the Tournament of Roses has confirmed that the 2026 Rose Parade will be livestreamed across eight platforms, starting at 8 a.m. PST on January 1, 2026. This initiative aims to enhance accessibility and attract a global audience to the beloved New Year’s Day celebration.
The livestream will mark the third consecutive year the parade has been available online, giving viewers worldwide a chance to experience the event in real-time. Officials state that this shift to digital streaming is crucial for reaching younger, mobile-oriented audiences who prefer on-demand content.
David Eads, CEO and Executive Director of the Tournament of Roses, emphasized the importance of this transition, stating, “The Rose Parade has always been about welcoming the world to Pasadena, and our livestream really allows us to expand that tradition.” This year, the livestream will be accessible on platforms including Christmas Plus, Dooya, FanDuel Sports Network, Fubo, GFam+, Great American Pure Flix, Pluto TV, Samsung TV Plus, and the Tournament of Roses’ own YouTube channel.
With the official livestream, viewers will see every one of the 86 units parading along the iconic 5.5-mile route, offering a complete view of the festivities. Eads noted that in 2024, the first year of the livestream, the parade attracted about 25,000 viewers. This number skyrocketed to over 1.15 million viewers in 2025, demonstrating a significant demand for streaming options.
On-site attendance is expected to be between 850,000 and 1 million people along Colorado Boulevard, while traditional television broadcasts are projected to reach over 30 million viewers through major networks including ABC, CNN, Fox, NBC, and Univision.
The official livestream will be hosted by a dynamic trio: Darren Haynes, Pressley Hosbach, and comedian Loni Love, who will bring their unique flair and connectivity to the broadcast. Love, a two-time Emmy winner, is noted for her engaging personality, ensuring a lively presentation that resonates with audiences.
With a clear goal to expand its digital footprint, the Tournament of Roses aims to enhance viewership further by potentially partnering with major streaming services like Apple TV or Amazon Prime in the future. “At the end of the day, it’s about accessibility and connecting to viewers where they are,” Eads added.
As anticipation builds for the 137th Rose Parade, officials encourage everyone to experience the event, whether in person or through digital platforms. The livestream not only allows for greater accessibility but also offers a fresh viewing experience for fans around the globe.
Mark your calendars for January 1, 2026, and prepare for an unforgettable celebration that bridges tradition with modern technology.
