Woman, 18, Reports Sexual Assault by Boyfriend After Night Out

UPDATE: An 18-year-old woman has reported a shocking sexual assault incident involving her new boyfriend, unfolding late last night in Cleveland Heights. The alarming report was made at 1:45 a.m. on December 27, 2023, following a series of distressing events that began earlier in the evening.

The young woman claims her boyfriend, whom she had been dating for only a couple of days, assaulted her in a parked car at Forest Hills Park. She stated that he had picked her up from her home in North Ridgeville around 8:30 p.m. on December 26. During their time together, he allegedly forced her to perform oral sex against her will after offering her alcohol and marijuana.

After the alleged attack, the woman insisted he drive her to the University Circle Police Department, where she reported the incident. She expressed doubts about whether authorities would believe her story and was taken to a hospital for examination. Authorities are currently investigating the situation, but the woman has not yet decided whether to pursue formal charges against her assailant.

In a separate incident earlier that night, police were called to The Wine Spot on Lee Road at 11:25 p.m., where a father was found restraining his daughter during a mental health episode exacerbated by personal issues. The 43-year-old father reported that his daughter, aged 38, was struggling with her emotions related to her boyfriend and required police intervention. She was subsequently taken for evaluation at Rainbow Babies & Children’s Hospital.
