Staten Island vs. New Jersey Challenge Kicks Off Sunday at Moore Catholic

UPDATE: The highly anticipated 19th annual Coaches Choice USA Staten Island vs. New Jersey Challenge is set to ignite excitement this Sunday at Moore Catholic in Graniteville. This year’s event will showcase five thrilling games, starting at 11 a.m., with a unique twist featuring legendary coaches from Staten Island.

Fans are in for a treat as the second game highlights the fierce competition between Staten Island Academy and Bound Brook. This matchup not only promises intense gameplay but will also feature head coaches who are both distinguished Jaques Award winners. Sandy Litkenhaus, a standout who clinched the award in the 1986-87 season, is leading SIA in her inaugural year. Opposing her is Jen Derenjanik, a three-time Jaques winner (1998-2000), now in her 12th season coaching Bound Brook. Both coaches are alumni of the now-defunct St. Peter’s Girls High School, adding a nostalgic layer to this exciting event.
