Pixar Reveals Teaser for Upcoming Animated Film “Hoppers”

Disney and Pixar have unveiled a special teaser for their highly anticipated animated film, Hoppers. This sneak peek offers an engaging glimpse into the story, which follows protagonist Mabel as she navigates a world where humans can interact with animals in unprecedented ways. The film is set to premiere in theaters on March 6, 2026.

The teaser, lasting just one minute, opens with Dr. Sam explaining to Mabel how their technology provides humans with remarkable access to the animal kingdom. Mabel’s witty response highlights her skepticism: “You created a fake animal, which makes the other animals think you’re an animal.” Dr. Sam’s denial of the technology’s resemblance to the Avatar program adds a layer of humor to the exchange.

As Mabel transforms into a beaver, she meets various animals and introduces herself. The scene quickly escalates when Dr. Sam warns her not to reveal her human identity. Despite this, Mabel inadvertently activates a communication device that Dr. Sam had hoped to keep secret. This moment sets off a chain of events that shapes the film’s narrative.

Mabel soon rallies the animals, proclaiming that they must defend their habitat against human encroachment. However, her determination is challenged when Insect Queen, a butterfly, suggests a more aggressive approach, urging, “Let’s squish the humans!” This call to action is echoed by a chorus of snakes, reflecting the film’s underlying themes of conflict and survival.

The teaser also showcases scenes of ants and frogs gearing up for battle, along with a dramatic moment where something crashes into a cliff, resulting in an explosion. An injured lizard captures the intensity of the situation, exclaiming, “That was intense.”

The closing moments of the footage introduce a character named Jerry, who is startled by Mabel and another beaver as they invade his car. In a tense yet humorous twist, Mabel steals Jerry’s phone, using an AI voice to warn him that his life is in danger. This unexpected turn prompts Jerry to drive away in haste, leaving audiences eager to see how the story unfolds.

Directed by Daniel Chong, known for creating the series We Bare Bears, the film also features a screenplay by Jesse Andrews. The voice cast is a notable ensemble, including Piper Curda, Bobby Moynihan, Jon Hamm, Isiah Whitlock Jr., Dave Franco, and Meryl Streep, among others.

As anticipation builds for its release, Hoppers promises to deliver both humor and adventure, appealing to audiences of all ages. With Pixar’s reputation for storytelling and animation, this film is set to become another beloved addition to their illustrious catalog.
