Reserve Care Rebrands to Reflect Expanded Mission and Services

Reserve Care, previously known as Hospice of the Western Reserve, has officially announced its rebranding to better reflect its comprehensive mission and broadened services. Under the leadership of Bill Finn, president and CEO, the organization aims to clarify its identity and connect with the community it serves across Northern Ohio.

For nearly 50 years, Hospice of the Western Reserve has provided compassionate end-of-life care. Its name has become synonymous with expert care during some of life’s most significant moments. However, as the organization has evolved to meet the needs of a diverse population, Finn notes that the old name no longer encapsulates the full range of services offered.

The rebranding responds to an evolving healthcare landscape. Reserve Care now supports individuals at various stages of their healthcare journeys, including those managing serious illnesses and families navigating grief. By adopting the new name, the organization addresses potential barriers associated with the term “hospice,” which can evoke fear or uncertainty for some. Finn emphasizes that the goal is to make it easier for people to seek help when it can make the most impact.

Expanding Horizons of Care

The transition to Reserve Care represents a unified identity that encompasses a continuum of services. This change honors the organization’s historical legacy while positioning it for future growth. “We remain the same nonprofit, community-based organization, guided by the same mission, values, and commitment to personalized, compassionate care,” Finn states.

As part of this commitment, the organization has expanded its partnerships with healthcare systems and providers to ensure seamless, coordinated care. Patients and families will continue receiving support from the same dedicated teams they have come to trust. This continuity is crucial as the organization strengthens its presence across an 18-county region.

Currently, construction is underway for a new Hospice Care Center on the East Side of Cleveland, situated along the shores of Lake Erie. This facility aims to serve both patients and the broader community. Finn describes the center as a symbol of what Reserve Care embodies—“a place of comfort, connection, and care that extends beyond any single service or moment in time.”

Commitment to Community Needs

In a rapidly changing healthcare environment, Finn acknowledges the necessity for organizations like Reserve Care to adapt. “Health care is changing. Communities are changing. The needs of families are changing,” he explains. The rebranding reflects a commitment to meet these evolving needs thoughtfully and transparently, ensuring that care remains rooted in compassion.

Readers are invited to engage with Reserve Care as it embarks on this new chapter. The organization is dedicated to its mission of being a trusted partner for individuals and families, wherever they are on their healthcare path. Finn expresses confidence in the future: “We are proud of where we come from and confident in where we are going.”

As Reserve Care takes this significant step, it invites the community to understand that it is here not just at the end of life but throughout life’s most challenging health moments. The rebranding marks a pivotal moment in the organization’s history, reinforcing its commitment to providing high-quality care for generations to come.
