Hillary Clinton Slams GOP After 6-Hour Epstein Testimony

BREAKING: Hillary Clinton emerged from a lengthy six-hour deposition before the House Oversight Committee, sharply criticizing Republican lawmakers for their handling of the inquiry into Jeffrey Epstein. The closed-door session took place on November 1, 2023, at her home in Chappaqua, New York, and left Clinton expressing frustration over the lack of transparency.

Speaking to reporters shortly after her testimony, Clinton claimed she was subjected to repetitive questioning and accused GOP members of avoiding a public hearing. “They had a chance to do it in public, and I wish they had done it in public,” she stated emphatically, adding, “I think they’re making the wrong decision, avoiding doing it in public.” Clinton also declared she would not return for any future public session.

As the questioning progressed, Clinton noted an unexpected shift towards bizarre topics, including inquiries about UFOs and the notorious Pizzagate conspiracy theory. “It then got quite unusual,” she said, referring to the “vile, bogus conspiracy theories” being tied to her name. Despite this, she acknowledged some substantive lines of inquiry from committee chairman James Comer, stating, “I want to see the truth come out.”

Clinton reiterated her lack of association with Epstein, claiming she barely knew Ghislaine Maxwell as an acquaintance. When pressed about Maxwell’s presence at her daughter Chelsea Clinton’s wedding, she explained, “Maxwell had been a ‘plus-one of someone invited.’”

In a statement to reporters, Comer assessed the deposition as “productive,” although he noted that Republicans were not fully satisfied with Clinton’s responses. “The number of times that she said, ‘I don’t know, you’ll have to ask my husband,’ was more than a dozen,” he remarked, highlighting the tension surrounding the session.

Clinton’s testimony sets the stage for former President Bill Clinton, who is scheduled for his own deposition, which Comer indicated would be longer. While neither Clinton has been accused of wrongdoing related to Epstein, Bill Clinton’s past connections with Epstein have raised significant scrutiny. Hillary Clinton stressed that any relationship ended “years, several years, before anything about Epstein’s criminal activities came to light.”

Rep. William Timmons characterized the session as “frustrating,” describing Clinton as “obstinate and sort of annoyed at the process.” He emphasized that the American public deserves answers, particularly regarding Bill Clinton’s potential involvement.

Tensions escalated during the deposition when Rep. Lauren Boebert reportedly shared a photo from inside the closed hearing, prompting Clinton to express her disappointment. “We had to cease the hearing for a period of time until we could get assurances that no rules would be broken going forward,” she explained, highlighting the challenges faced during the testimony.

Hillary Clinton began her deposition around 11 a.m. and concluded shortly after 5 p.m.. The fallout from her comments and the ongoing investigation will be closely monitored as the committee continues its work. Stay tuned for updates as this situation develops.
