Longtime Loveland residents Bob and Debbie Dehn received the prestigious Miki Roth Eagle Spirit Award on March 15, 2024, in recognition of their significant contributions to the Loveland community over the past 43 years. The award was presented by Mindy McCloughan, President of the Loveland Chamber of Commerce, during the chamber’s annual banquet held at the Candlelight Dinner Theatre in Johnstown.
McCloughan praised the Dehns as “pillars of the community,” highlighting their extensive involvement in various local initiatives. The couple has actively participated in numerous organizations, including the Community Kitchen, the Larimer County Fair, the Interfaith Hospitality Network, and Hearts and Horses, showcasing their commitment to enhancing the lives of Loveland residents.
In addition to recognizing the Dehns, the banquet also honored Marilyn Johnson from Be the Gift with the Heart Award. This accolade is given to individuals who generously share their time and expertise to support the community. Johnson was selected from three finalists, including Jessi Benshoof of Backyard Tap and Duan Rockett, a real estate broker with The Group. McCloughan remarked, “All three of our nominees are considered to be Loveland warriors with hearts of gold.”
The event also featured additional awards bestowed by the Loveland Chamber of Commerce, recognizing various contributions to the community. The awards included:
– Lucas Gillis of Strategic Retirement Partners, named Young Professional of the Year.
– Community Kitchen, awarded Nonprofit of the Year.
– 477 Distilling, recognized as New Member of the Year.
– Sweet Heart Winery, honored as Small Business of the Year.
– Loveland Pulse Internet, awarded Large Business of the Year.
