New Friendship Blooms from Unexpected Search for Three-Way
UPDATE: A quest for a three-way has unexpectedly led to a profound journey of friendship for Victoria Valenzuela, a master’s student in Los Angeles. What began as a lighthearted conversation at La Cita, a popular bar in downtown L.A., has blossomed into a network of supportive friendships that transformed her social life.
On a night in April 2022, Valenzuela and her best friend Sam enjoyed a concert at USC before heading to La Cita, where she met Gil, a former UCLA student. The duo’s playful banter soon escalated into a serious discussion about exploring a three-way relationship, leading them to new dating app options like 3Fun. However, Valenzuela found the app’s user base skewed towards couples, prompting the pair to rethink their strategy.
By leveraging her Hinge account, Valenzuela embarked on a quest to meet potential partners. In December 2022, she matched with Natalia, who was visiting Los Angeles for the holidays. Their New Year’s Eve meeting turned into an unforgettable night of dancing and connection, eventually leading to a deep friendship marked by daily conversations and social outings.
As 2023 unfolded and Valenzuela faced personal challenges, including a significant depression, she found solace in her growing bond with Genesis, another woman she had matched with on Hinge. After Genesis reached out in February, looking for support post-breakup, Valenzuela invited her to a new club, Beso, in Downey. Their friendship flourished, bringing fun and adventure back into Valenzuela’s life.
The two became inseparable, exploring clubs and making new friends together. From spontaneous nights out to wild escapades, including following DJs to their homes, Valenzuela found a partner in crime in Genesis. Meanwhile, she also connected with Lindsay, a model who introduced her to upscale social events, further enriching her social network.
Valenzuela’s experiences highlight a surprising twist: the love and support she was seeking in a romantic partner materialized through her friendships with these three women. Each friend offered unique insights and encouragement, prompting Valenzuela to recognize the value of her relationships.
In a heartfelt reflection, Valenzuela shared, “I realized that the love I was searching for was actually with those girls who were there for me throughout the whole thing.” What started as a personal exploration of sexuality has led to a profound understanding of friendship, support, and self-worth.
As the story unfolds, Valenzuela continues to build her connections, proving that sometimes, the journey for romantic love can lead to something even more meaningful: true friendship.
