URGENT UPDATE: The Truckee North Tahoe Transportation Management Association (TNTTMA) has just celebrated its annual awards, recognizing over 80 member organizations for their significant contributions to regional mobility. This year’s ceremony highlighted transformative projects aimed at enhancing sustainable transportation in the Tahoe Truckee region.
Held in Truckee, California, TNTTMA’s event saw accolades awarded to key innovators who are redefining transit accessibility. Board members nominated projects, and honorees were selected by full membership votes, reflecting a strong commitment to collaborative progress.

- Transit Changemaker Award – Keep Tahoe Blue & Tahoe Fund: Recognized for launching the Emerald Bay Shuttle, improving access to iconic destinations. This pilot program facilitates convenient transit between Camp Richardson, Sugar Pine Point State Park, and the South Tahoe “Y” Transit Center, while enhancing safety and protecting the environment.
- Infrastructure Improvement Award – Tahoe Transportation District & Placer County: Honored for the Fanny Bridge Community Revitalization Project in Tahoe City, which includes a new bypass bridge, two roundabouts, and modern upgrades to the historic Fanny Bridge. This initiative aims to improve traffic flow and multi-modal access.
- Trailblazing Award – Tahoe City Public Utility District (TCPUD): Awarded for the North Shore Trail Reconstruction Project, a $3.2 million investment that rebuilt two miles of a busy multi-use trail, enhancing safety and accessibility.
- Chip Matcham Award – Dan Wilkins: Honored for his long-term dedication to regional transportation improvements, Wilkins has served on the TNTTMA Board for over 24 years, influencing Truckee’s infrastructure significantly.
