URGENT UPDATE: The Ars Choralis chorus has just announced its highly anticipated holiday concert schedule for December 2025! Music lovers in the Kingston area can look forward to two performances of the “Holiday Sampler,” a captivating concert that blends festive tunes from America’s colonial past with the sacred Christmas music of Europe.
Mark your calendars for Saturday, December 6, at 7 p.m. at Holy Cross/Santa Cruz Episcopal Church, located at 30 Pine Grove Ave. The chorus will take the stage again on Sunday, December 7, at 4 p.m. at Overlook United Methodist Church, 233 Tinker St., Woodstock. Joining Ars Choralis will be the talented Hudson Valley Youth Brass Ensemble, under the direction of Harvey Boyer.
This concert kicks off the Ars Choralis 2025–26 season, which commemorates the 250th anniversary of the signing of the Declaration of Independence. The season highlights the diverse cultures that have shaped America, making this concert not just a musical event but a celebration of American heritage.

Additionally, Ars Choralis will host a free New Year’s Eve concert entitled “A Quilt of Courage” at the Old Dutch Church, 262 Wall St., on Wednesday, December 31, at 6 p.m.. This concert, produced in partnership with the city of Kingston and the church, pays homage to Hudson Valley individuals who have significantly impacted the nation. Attendees are encouraged to bring cash donations to benefit People’s Place of Kingston.
In a further highlight, Ars Choralis will collaborate with the Windham Festival Chamber Orchestra on Saturday, November 29, at 7 p.m. at the Orpheum Performing Arts Center, located at 6050 State Route 23A, Tannersville.
