Jason Tartick, known for his appearance on *The Bachelorette*, is reportedly dating Kathryn Hurley, founder of Wags & Walks Nashville. The couple’s connection blossomed earlier this year when Tartick, 37, adopted his dog, Teddy, from the nonprofit rescue organization Hurley, 33, launched in 2019. According to an exclusive report by *Us Weekly*, the two were seen together at the opening of Craig’s in Nashville on November 12, 2023.
Their relationship began with a heartwarming adoption story. Tartick shared a video in March, expressing gratitude to the rescue organization for bringing Teddy into his life. He wrote, “Not sure who rescued who, but we got each other! Thank you @wagsandwalksnashville.” Hurley echoed this sentiment, stating in an interview with *People*, “We are thrilled to have helped Jason find his forever pup. At Wags & Walks, we believe every rescue dog has a perfect match, and seeing them find that connection makes our work so rewarding.”
Although the timeline of their romantic involvement remains unclear, Hurley recently finalized her divorce from musician Rajiv Dhall after nearly five years of marriage, which was recorded in court documents in April 2023.
Tartick, who has openly discussed his views on pet adoption, highlighted the significance of finding a partner who shares his love for dogs. In a July interview with *Us Weekly*, he emphasized, “I think my next girlfriend’s gotta love dogs,” underscoring the importance of shared values in a romantic relationship.
His journey with Teddy has been transformative, as he recounted the circumstances surrounding the dog’s rescue. “He was abused by his past owner, and then he was in a shelter, which most are in the South,” Tartick explained. “He had about a week or two until he was gonna be euthanized.” This experience not only deepened his bond with Teddy but also impacted his outlook on dating.
Tartick gained fame in 2018 as a contestant on season 14 of *The Bachelorette*, where he was a suitor for Becca Kufrin. Following that, he entered into a relationship with season 11 lead Kaitlyn Bristowe, to whom he was engaged from 2021 until 2023. More recently, he dated social media influencer Kat Stickler for approximately six months in 2024.
As their relationship develops, both Tartick and Hurley seem to share a passion for animal welfare, reinforcing the bond that brought them together. With the backdrop of their respective journeys in the public eye, this new chapter appears to be filled with promise and shared values.
