Community Talent Show “Harvest of Love” Set for Nov. 22

URGENT UPDATE: Our Lady of the Lake Parish is gearing up for its highly anticipated annual Community Talent Show, titled “Harvest of Love,” happening on Saturday, November 22, 2023, at 7 p.m. in the St. Anna School gymnasium, located at 213 Lancaster St., Leominster, MA. This event aims to unite the community through art, faith, and entertainment while raising crucial funds for the parish and the parish youth group’s upcoming Catholic Youth in Action service trip to Indiana next July.

This evening of creativity will showcase a variety of performances, including music, dance, comedy, poetry, gymnastics, storytelling, and novelty acts, featuring talented parishioners and friends of all ages. Admission is set at $10 for adults and teens, $5 for children ages 5-12, and free for kids under 5, with a maximum of $30 per family.

A 50/50 raffle will also enhance the evening’s excitement, with tickets priced at $3 for one, $5 for three, or $10 for ten tickets. Both admission and raffle tickets can be purchased in advance at the parish office at 1400 Main St. or at the door on the night of the show.

Attendees can enjoy a selection of baked goods along with cold and hot cider, and water available before the show and during intermission. The event is a product of dedicated volunteers who have spent weeks preparing and organizing, embodying a collective mission of “co-creating with God” to spread joy throughout the community.

Father Kenneth Cardinale, pastor of Our Lady of the Lake Parish, states, “Celebrating creativity and the unique gifts of the community is a way of honoring God. Let us all focus on gratitude and the belief that artistic expression can bring people closer to God and to one another.”

This talent show is not just a night of fun; it reflects a deeper purpose of community engagement and spiritual connection. Attendees are encouraged to join in this vibrant celebration, making it a must-see event for families and friends in the area.
