Austrian beauty influencer Stefanie Pieper has been found dead in a forest in Slovenia, following the alleged confession of her ex-boyfriend, who reportedly admitted to murdering her. The tragic discovery comes after local authorities stated that the 31-year-old influencer’s body was located in a remote area after her former partner led investigators to the site where he concealed her remains.
According to the Austrian news outlet Kronen Zeitung, the man has since been extradited from Slovenia to Austria. Authorities have also arrested his brother and stepfather in connection with the case. Stefanie Pieper was last seen at a holiday party on November 23, 2025. When she failed to show up for a modeling job and could not be reached by friends, concerns escalated, leading to her being reported missing on November 26, 2025.
The ex-boyfriend was taken into custody on November 24, 2025, as police investigated her disappearance. “The man is believed to have traveled to Slovenia several times in his car. He could not be contacted by the investigating police,” stated the authorities in a recent press release.
The arrest of Stefanie’s alleged killer occurred after he was found near his burning vehicle at a casino parking lot close to the border. Local reports indicate that border crossing data revealed multiple trips made by the suspect between Austria and Slovenia prior to his arrest.
On the evening of November 24, the Slovenian police confirmed a car fire in the casino parking lot, identifying it as belonging to the 31-year-old man. He was apprehended shortly thereafter. “Extradition to Austria has been requested,” the police noted in their statement.
While the investigation unfolded, local news outlets Oe24 and 20 Minuten reported that Stefanie allegedly communicated with a friend via WhatsApp, confirming her safe arrival home. Shortly after, she sent another message expressing concern that someone was in her stairwell. Neighbors reported hearing arguments and allegedly identified her ex-boyfriend at the scene.
The following day, on November 27, the Styrian State Police indicated that two of the suspect’s family members had also been taken into custody. “The detainees are in police custody and are being questioned,” authorities confirmed.
Despite extensive investigations, forensic examinations of the ex-boyfriend’s vehicle did not yield any evidence related to Stefanie’s whereabouts. Authorities have emphasized the cooperation between Slovenian and Austrian police in their ongoing investigation. “Search operations carried out in Slovenia have so far been unsuccessful; these will continue tomorrow,” they stated in their press release.
As the investigation progresses, the case has drawn significant attention, raising concerns about safety and violence in intimate relationships. The loss of Stefanie Pieper, a figure admired by many, serves as a tragic reminder of the potential dangers that can exist behind closed doors.
