Rachel Campos-Duffy Departures FOX Noticias, Andrea Linares Steps In

Television host Rachel Campos-Duffy has officially left FOX Noticias, the Spanish-language division of FOX News. Her departure marks a significant transition for the network, which has swiftly appointed Andrea Linares as her replacement. The announcement was made on December 8, 2023, indicating a new direction for the show.

Andrea Linares, a two-time Emmy-nominated journalist, will take over as co-host of FOX Noticias. In a statement, John Sylvester, Senior Vice President of FOX News, expressed excitement about Linares joining the team, stating, “We are very excited to welcome Andrea to our team on FOX Noticias and we are confident her reporting will resonate with our Latino audience.” Linares responded with enthusiasm, saying, “I am honored to join such a terrific team at FOX Noticias and FOX News to continue telling important stories that matter and impact the Hispanic community in South Florida and throughout the country.”

Linares holds a degree in political science from the University of Miami and comes to FOX Noticias after anchoring daily two-hour newscasts at TelevisaUnivision since 2016. Her experience includes conducting interviews with various public figures. Prior to her role at TelevisaUnivision, she was an anchor at WGEN-TV from 2010 to 2016 and worked as a reporter for stations such as WSBSTV and WLTV.

Future Developments at FOX Noticias

In conjunction with the changes at the hosting level, FOX Noticias has announced plans for new digital-first programming set to launch in February 2026. This initiative aims to better engage the Spanish-speaking audience. One notable addition is a weekly digital program that will be available in both video and audio formats, featuring in-depth interviews across various genres, including sports, entertainment, and politics.

Additionally, the network plans to introduce one-minute news updates that will be distributed multiple times a day across all social media platforms, enhancing its outreach and engagement with the audience.

Katrina Campins and Julie Banderas will continue to serve as rotating co-anchors for FOX Noticias, ensuring a consistent presence alongside Linares. Meanwhile, Campos-Duffy will maintain her role on FOX & Friends Weekend, continuing her television work even after her exit from FOX Noticias.

With these strategic changes, FOX Noticias aims to strengthen its commitment to delivering relevant news and engaging content to the Hispanic community, a mission that both Campos-Duffy and Linares have been integral to in their respective roles.
