Eden Prairie Community Center Launches Wellness Programs for 2025

As 2025 begins, the Eden Prairie Community Center is introducing a variety of wellness programs aimed at promoting health and fitness within the local community. The center’s January offerings, detailed in a recent bulletin from the City of Eden Prairie, include fitness and aquatics activities designed to cater to diverse interests and needs.

The schedule features a range of options for residents looking to engage in mindful activities. Notable sessions include “Meditation for Beginners” on January 10, priced at $10, and a series of “Candlelight Yin Yoga” classes running from January 11 through February 22 for $50. These classes aim to promote relaxation and mindfulness, providing participants with a peaceful environment to unwind. For those seeking a unique experience, a “Sound Bath” event on January 23 offers therapeutic sound waves for a fee of $12.

In addition to wellness classes, the Community Center is enhancing its aquatic offerings with a new Swim Punch Pass. This pass allows for ten visits at the price of nine, making it an attractive option for regular swimmers. Furthermore, sensory-friendly open swims will be held on January 11 and January 25, providing an inclusive environment for individuals sensitive to environmental stimuli. No registration is necessary, and access is free for members and Passport to Fun participants.

The Community Center is also hosting the Winter Adult Indoor Pickleball Leagues, which feature advanced mixed partner leagues operating in a round-robin format. Free agents looking for partners are welcome, and members can enjoy discounted registration fees.

For those who frequent the fitness area, the start of the year brings exciting updates with new equipment on the Fit Floor. This equipment is designed to enhance strength and flexibility, complete with instructional QR codes to guide workouts.

As the center welcomes patrons, it also reminds them to prepare for seasonal changes. Visitors are encouraged to carry their membership cards for easy access and to avoid wearing exercise shoes through the parking lot, preventing damage to fitness machines and floors. Locker room storage is available for items that may not belong on the gym floor.

Routine maintenance will see the hot tub undergoing checks on January 13 and January 27 from 20:00 to 22:00, along with scheduled Aqua Flow classes twice weekly.

Regarding operational hours during the holiday season, the center will close early at 17:00 on December 31 and open late from 10:00 to 14:00 on January 1. Additionally, potential high-traffic periods are expected due to swim meets scheduled for January 2, January 10, and January 16 to January 17, which may affect pool availability.
