Dr. Julie Rajotte-Caron has officially joined the Mohawk Valley Health System (MVHS) Breast Care Center as a breast surgeon, enhancing the medical team’s capability to provide specialized care for patients. Dr. Rajotte-Caron brings a wealth of experience, having previously worked as a surgical assistant at Kanata Plastic Surgery in Ottawa, Canada.
Her medical journey is marked by significant contributions to humanitarian efforts. Dr. Rajotte-Caron served as a registered nurse with the Canadian Armed Forces (CAF) Disaster Assistance Response Team (DART), where she was deployed to the Philippines in response to the devastating typhoon in 2013. Additionally, she provided humanitarian aid in El Salvador, solidifying her commitment to global health.
Dr. Rajotte-Caron earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Université du Québec à Trois-Rivières in Quebec, Canada. She later obtained her Doctor of Medicine from Saint James School of Medicine in Chicago, Illinois. Her training in General Surgery was completed at the Mountain Area Health Education Center (MAHEC) in Asheville, North Carolina.
