Applications Open for Santa Clarita’s Deputy Explorer Program

The Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Station has launched the application process for its Deputy Explorer Program, aimed at young adults aged 14 to 20. This initiative offers a unique opportunity for participants who maintain a minimum GPA of 2.0 to engage in career development and educational activities. The program, as detailed in a recent announcement from the L.A. County Sheriff’s Department, focuses on cultivating leadership, responsibility, confidence, and compassion through community service.

Program Details and Timeline

The Explorer Academy is scheduled to take place every Saturday over an 18-week period, from February 7 to June 6, 2024, at the Lancaster Sheriff’s Station. This structured environment will allow young adults to learn and grow while contributing positively to their communities.
