Residents of Hegins, Pennsylvania, are invited to celebrate the holiday season at the third annual community Christmas tree lighting on November 29, 2025. The event will take place from 5 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. at the Frieden’s Lutheran parsonage, located at 510 E. Main St. A generous donation from Mahantongo Valley Farms has provided a stunning 24-foot evergreen tree for the occasion, while Frank’s Electrical Construction will handle the setup.
Attendees can look forward to a festive atmosphere featuring food from local vendors, including Pizza Buds and Kevin’s Grill. Tri-Valley High School musicians will provide live entertainment, enhancing the community spirit of the evening. Children will have the opportunity to decorate Christmas cookies, adding a personal touch to the celebration.
As part of the event, participants will be encouraged to tie ribbons on the tree, symbolizing their wishes for the upcoming year. Guests are also invited to bring their cameras to capture moments at various Christmas-themed photo booths. Those with musical talents are welcome to join an impromptu chorus to lead the community in singing traditional Christmas carols. The program will officially kick off at 6 p.m., culminating in the lighting of the tree at 6:30 p.m. Attendees can also look forward to door prizes at the conclusion of the event.
