Foo Fighters to Host Benefit Concert for Unhoused Angelenos

The Foo Fighters have announced a benefit concert scheduled for January 14, 2026, at the Kia Forum in Inglewood, California. This special one-night event aims to raise funds and collect essential goods for two partner organizations, Hope the Mission and Los Angeles Mission, which provide critical support to unhoused and food-insecure residents in the Los Angeles area.

The concert coincides with band leader Dave Grohl‘s 57th birthday, adding a personal touch to the philanthropic effort. Proceeds from the performance, alongside donations gathered during a presale event, will directly benefit emergency housing, meal programs, and outreach initiatives managed by the two nonprofits. “What better way to spend my 57th birthday than making a bunch of noise with a bunch of friends for a good cause,” Grohl stated in a recent announcement.

Presale and Donation Drive Details

An in-person presale will take place at the Kia Forum on December 7, 2025, and will also serve as a donation drive. Fans wishing to gain early access to tickets must bring specific requested items for Hope the Mission. Needed contributions include new, packaged socks and underwear for all ages and genders, as well as bagged dried pinto beans, rice, and dry pasta products like spaghetti or macaroni. Notably, canned goods and perishable items will not be accepted.

General ticket sales will be announced following the presale. Fans interested in updates can follow the band on Instagram at instagram.com/foofighters.

Impact on the Community

Both partner organizations highlighted the importance of this collaborative effort. According to Dennis Oleesky, CEO of the Los Angeles Mission, “Every ticket purchased, and every donation will directly help feed and house our unhoused neighbors.” Similarly, Rowan Vansleve, president of Hope the Mission, praised the Foo Fighters, stating they exemplify “what’s possible when people show up and give back.”

The benefit concert represents a significant opportunity to support vital programs that assist thousands of Angelenos facing housing insecurity. With the Foo Fighters’ star power and the community’s involvement, this event promises to make a meaningful difference in the lives of those in need.
