Patrón Tequila Unveils Official Cocktail for 2026 Grammy Awards

Patrón Tequila has been named the official tequila partner of the 2026 Grammy Awards, launching a new signature cocktail called The Golden Record. This marks the first time the Grammy Awards will feature an official cocktail, highlighting the collaboration between the renowned tequila brand and one of music’s most prestigious events.

The Golden Record cocktail will be served at the Grammy Awards ceremony on March 15, 2026, as well as during a series of high-profile events leading up to the main event. Created by renowned mixologist Daniel Gonzalez from Mexico City’s Licorería Limantour, the cocktail features Patrón El Alto tequila, a blend of Extra Añejo, Añejo, and Reposado tequilas.

In a statement, Adam Roth, Executive Vice President of Global Partnerships and Business Development at the Recording Academy, expressed excitement about the partnership. “The Grammy Awards celebrate artistry at the highest level, and Patrón’s uncompromising commitment to craftsmanship and quality mirrors that pursuit of excellence,” he said.

The Golden Record is crafted with a precise combination of 1.5 oz of Patrón El Alto, 1 oz of Prosecco, 0.5 oz of Tio Pepe Fino Sherry, and 2 oz of pear cordial. The drink is finished with a dash of Scrappy Bitters’ bergamot bitters and garnished with three slices of red grapes.

The collaboration between Patrón and the Grammy Awards reflects the brand’s longstanding presence in modern music, particularly within hip-hop and Latin genres. Patrón has been mentioned in songs by artists such as Miranda Lambert, Lil Jon, and Taylor Swift. Notably, producers Hit-Boy and Offset referenced the brand in their 2023 track “2live” after visiting the distillery in Jalisco.

Patrón has also demonstrated its support for Latin music artists. The brand sponsored Becky G‘s first-ever Mi Casa, Tu Casa tour in 2023, following her successful releases in musica mexicana. Furthermore, Patrón hosted a dinner for Troye Sivan in 2024, celebrating his multiple Grammy nominations.

“We’re honored to kick off our first year as the Official Tequila Partner of the Grammy Awards,” said D-J Hageman, Vice President of USA at Patrón Tequila. He emphasized the excitement surrounding the event, stating, “The Grammy Awards represent the most exciting night in music, and Patrón is proud to be there celebrating alongside the artists who make it extraordinary.”

In addition to The Golden Record, Patrón and Licorería Limantour have developed two more cocktails for Grammy week. The Patrón High Note combines 1.5 oz of Patrón Silver Tequila with 1.5 oz of tomato mango purée, 0.5 oz of Patrón Citrónge Orange Liqueur, and 0.75 oz of lime juice, served in a glass rimmed with Maldon salt and garnished with a mango slice.

The Clear Winner features 2 oz of Patrón Cristalino, 1 oz of Martini & Rossi Bianco, 0.75 oz of Luxardo Bitter Bianco, and 0.15 oz of Suze Aperitif, finished with a dash of Scrappy’s lime bitters and garnished with a lemon twist.

This partnership between Patrón Tequila and the Grammy Awards promises to enhance the celebratory atmosphere of the event, allowing attendees to indulge in a unique and expertly crafted cocktail while honoring the outstanding achievements in music.
