Remembering Gail K. Wold: A Life of Faith and Community Service

Gail K. Wold, aged 87, of West St. Paul, passed away recently, leaving behind a legacy enriched by faith, family, and community service. Her life was marked by an unwavering commitment to her loved ones and a passion for music and animals. She is survived by her children, Janelle Rau and Kevin Wold, along with their spouses, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.

Gail’s family includes her grandchildren, Aaron, Emily, Griffin, and Shiloh, as well as her great-grandchildren, Andrew and Daniel. She is also survived by her brother-in-law, Paul Wold, and several nieces and a nephew. Her husband, Howie Wold, and her parents, Gil and Ellen, preceded her in death.

A Legacy of Music and Community Engagement

A proud graduate of Park High School in 1956, Gail dedicated over 70 years to music ministry. She served as a musician at her church and directed the children’s choir for more than 50 years. Her contributions extended beyond the church, as she volunteered at the Minnesota Zoo for 45 years, sharing her love for animals with the community.

Gail’s life was characterized by her deep faith and her commitment to nurturing the next generation. Her involvement in her church and community made her a beloved figure among friends and family alike. She touched the lives of many with her kindness, making a lasting impact on those who knew her.

Visitation and Funeral Arrangements

Friends and family are invited to pay their respects during the visitation on December 19, 2023, from 16:00 to 19:00. A funeral service will be held the following day at 11:00, with an additional visitation starting at 10:00. Both events will take place at the King of Kings Lutheran Church, located at 1583 Radio Drive, Woodbury.

A luncheon will follow the funeral service, providing an opportunity for loved ones to gather and celebrate Gail’s remarkable life. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial donations be made in her memory.

Gail K. Wold will be remembered not only for her dedication to her family but also for her unwavering service to her community and her love for music. Her spirit will live on in the hearts of those she touched throughout her life.
