The 10th annual Tecmo Siouxper Bowl took place in Sioux Falls, South Dakota, bringing together gaming enthusiasts for a day of retro video games and community engagement. Originally initiated by a group of friends, the Tecmo Siouxper Bowl has evolved significantly over the past decade. Organizer John Boerigter, who along with his wife served as foster parents, highlighted the importance of the Family Visitation Center. “We’ve seen the good that they do for kids and families facing challenges. It resonates with our audience, many of whom have experienced similar situations,” Boerigter explained.
Participants in the tournament enjoyed a vibrant atmosphere filled with nostalgia, as they competed in classic games from the 80s and 90s. The event offered attendees a chance to reconnect with old friends and meet new ones, fostering a sense of community around a shared love for gaming.
