New Braunfels Community Foundation Launches Grant and Scholarship Season
The New Braunfels Community Foundation has officially opened applications for its annual grant and scholarship season, presenting numerous opportunities for local organizations and students. The application process is now live for the Community Endowment for the Arts Fund, which is dedicated to supporting nonprofit arts initiatives in the New Braunfels and Comal County areas.
Eligible 501(c)(3) nonprofit organizations focused on visual, creative, or performing arts can apply for a minimum of $3,500 in grants. Established in 2016, the Community Endowment for the Arts Fund aims to provide a sustainable financial resource for the arts, fostering a vibrant cultural environment and enhancing arts education within the community. Grant recipients will be announced in December of 2025, with a deadline for applications set for noon on December 9, 2025.
Scholarship Opportunities Expand for Local Students
Several scholarship opportunities are currently available for students in the area. Among these is the Meuth Family Texas A&M Scholarship, which specifically targets married students attending Texas A&M University. While engineering students will receive special consideration, all qualifying candidates are encouraged to apply.
Additionally, students residing in the Bandera Electric Cooperative service area can apply for scholarships offered by the organization. The BEC Youth Tour scholarships are available to students who subscribe to BEC services. Furthermore, the Serve Outdoors Brian Hubertus Memorial Scholarship will open on November 3, benefiting graduating high school seniors from Comal County who actively engage in community service and volunteer work. More scholarships are expected to be available in January 2026.
NB Women GO Kicks Off Ninth Grant Season
The NB Women GO, a women’s giving organization within the New Braunfels Community Foundation, has commenced its ninth grant season. The organization held a membership mixer in September at Circle Arts Theatre, a previous beneficiary of NB Women GO grants. Members contribute through annual dues, enabling impactful giving and participating in a live grant voting event that determines which local nonprofits will receive funding.
To participate in the grant voting process for 2026, members must renew their membership or join the organization before applications open on February 13, 2026. Nonprofits interested in applying for grants should attend the mandatory NB Women GO Grant Preproposal Meeting on January 27, 2026, at McKenna Events Center.
For more information on joining NB Women GO or applying for grants and scholarships, visit www.nbcommunityfoundation.org or contact 830-606-9536.
