In 1980, he married Nancy Erd, and together they moved to Richland, Washington, where they raised four children: Darlene, Wendy, David, and Heather.

His professional journey began at the Hanford Nuclear Site, where he started as a bus driver. Over the years, Dave’s dedication and skill allowed him to ascend through various management roles. He ultimately retired as Manager of Retrieval Operations at the Tank Farms, a position that underscored his commitment to both his work and his colleagues.

In 2023, Dave and Nancy relocated to Sandpoint, Idaho, to enjoy the home they had built together, seeking a peaceful life after years of dedicated service to family and career.
