Ortega is survived by his three children: Charmaine Morales (Armando), Helani Ortega Godinez (Danny), and Michael Ortega. His legacy extends to his 15 grandchildren, including Valerie (Jason), Veronica (Michael), and Victoria (Vance), among others, and 13 great-grandchildren, such as Joseph, Justin, and Ruby.
His siblings, Diane (David), Andie (Jesse), Tricia (Donna), Gabe, and Chris, along with numerous nieces and nephews, also survive him. He was preceded in death by his parents and his sister, Kathy.
