Coaching Change at Whitehouse High School
In a significant development, Kyle Westerberg is no longer the head football coach at Whitehouse High School, as announced by Whitehouse ISD on Thursday morning. The district stated that a mutual agreement led to the decision, acknowledging Westerberg’s five years of service to the student-athletes and community. He took charge of the Wildcats in 2021, leading the team to a 2-8 record in his first season and failing to reach the playoffs. In the subsequent three seasons, the Wildcats made the playoffs each year, achieving a total of 20 wins. However, after another 2-8 finish in 2025, the team missed the postseason for only the second time since 2016. As they prepare for the 2026 season, Whitehouse aims for its first playoff win since 2019.
