Oklahoma has bolstered its football roster by acquiring former Texas wide receiver Parker Livingstone, as confirmed by sources to ESPN’s Pete Thamel on Tuesday. Livingstone, who was previously the roommate of Texas quarterback Arch Manning, recorded 29 receptions for 516 yards and six touchdowns during the 2025 season. After visiting Oklahoma and Indiana over the past week, he has committed to the Sooners and has three seasons of eligibility remaining.
Livingstone, standing at 6 feet 1 inch and weighing 191 pounds, redshirted in the 2024 season. He emerged as a key player for the Longhorns in the fall of 2025, ranking third on the team in receiving yards behind Ryan Wingo and DeAndre Moore Jr.. His performance included seven starts in eleven games, showcasing his potential to make a significant impact at Oklahoma.
Oklahoma’s Transfer Portal Success
Livingstone’s commitment is part of a broader strategy by the Sooners to enhance their roster through the transfer portal. Alongside Livingstone, Oklahoma has also secured a commitment from former UTSA defensive lineman Kenny Ozowalu. Ozowalu is expected to play as a defensive end for the Sooners after drawing interest from several programs, including Auburn, Mississippi State, and Texas. In his redshirt freshman season, he recorded 17 tackles and three sacks.
Additionally, Oklahoma has added former Virginia wide receiver Trell Harris during this transfer cycle. Harris earned All-ACC third-team honors for the 2025 season, achieving career highs with 59 catches, 847 receiving yards, and five touchdowns. The Sooners are actively revamping their receiving corps for the upcoming 2026 season, aiming to build a competitive team.
The Sooners also welcomed former Colorado State tight end Rocky Beers on January 5, 2026. Beers is the brother of Oklahoma women’s basketball star Raegan Beers, further establishing a family connection to the university’s athletic programs.
As Oklahoma navigates these changes, the status of their leading wide receiver from the 2025 season, Isaiah Sategna III, remains uncertain. With key players such as Deion Burks, Jaren Kanak, and Keontez Lewis set to depart, the Sooners are positioning themselves for a dynamic roster as they prepare for the next season.
The commitment of Livingstone and the influx of new talent through the transfer portal signal Oklahoma’s determination to remain competitive in college football, as they work to develop a formidable team for the 2026 season.
