The Pequot Lakes Patriots showcased their resilience and skill by winning back-to-back games during the Granite City Classic. On December 27, 2023, they triumphed over the Spring Lake Park Panthers in a closely contested overtime match, finishing with a score of 49-46.

Leading the charge for the Patriots was Chelby Wothe, who scored 15 points, demonstrating her pivotal role in the team’s success. June Ruud contributed 11 points, while Emersyn Sullivan and Alexa Pietig added nine points each. The game was characterized by intense defensive efforts from both teams, making every point count.

In the first half, Pequot Lakes established an initial lead, finishing the second quarter ahead 24-13. However, Spring Lake Park responded strongly, narrowing the gap in the third quarter and eventually pushing the game into overtime.
