All Lanes Blocked on I-70 After Early Morning Semi Crash
UPDATE: All lanes on Interstate 70 in Preble County are completely closed following a significant crash involving two semis early this morning. The Ohio State Highway Patrol (OSHP) responded to the incident at approximately 12:50 a.m. on October 25, 2023, near the five-mile marker heading westbound.
Authorities report that debris from the crash is scattered across the interstate, prompting a major traffic disruption. Motorists are being rerouted to avoid the scene, with traffic directed off I-70 WB to U.S. 127. Drivers can then take U.S. 40 to re-enter I-70 in Indiana.
The OSHP is actively investigating the cause of the crash and whether any injuries have been reported. As of now, no details regarding the drivers or the circumstances leading to the incident have been confirmed. Traffic is expected to remain hindered for some time as crews work to clear the wreckage.
