Cattaraugus County Veterans Services Announces January Sessions

The Cattaraugus County Veterans Services is set to hold sessions in January, providing veterans and their families with an opportunity to discuss important issues related to Veterans Affairs benefits, healthcare, and other concerns. Steve E. McCord, the director of Cattaraugus County Veterans Services, will be available at two locations during the month.

On January 14, 2024, McCord will be present at the American Legion Post in Randolph from 10 a.m. to noon. Following that, he will be available at the Town Clerk’s Office in Franklinville on January 20, 2024, from 1:30 p.m. to 4 p.m.. These sessions aim to address the various questions and issues that veterans may face regarding their benefits and healthcare options.

It is important to note that there will be no itinerant office hours in Little Valley or Gowanda this month. For those who need assistance outside of these sessions, the Olean office will remain open Monday through Friday. The office hours are from 8 a.m. to noon and 1 p.m. to 4 p.m.. Additionally, appointments can be arranged for the hours from 4 p.m. to 5 p.m. with prior scheduling.

Veterans and their families are encouraged to make appointments for these sessions by calling (716) 701-3298. If there are no appointments scheduled for the locations mentioned, McCord will stay at the Olean office rather than traveling to the other sites.

These sessions represent a crucial opportunity for veterans to seek guidance on their benefits and healthcare, ensuring they receive the support they deserve.
