Mourners lit candles and placed balloons and photographs at the site, honoring the lives of 18-month-old William, 2-year-old Buckley, 3-year-old Charlie, and 5-year-old Ruby. “I haven’t stopped crying since I found out,” said Helen Sucrese, who cared for the children and held them close to her heart.
The fire ripped through their trailer, leaving the community in shock and mourning. As candles flickered in the wind, Sucrese recalled cherished mornings spent with the children, highlighting Ruby’s joy as she began her first year of kindergarten. “Every morning, I would get her running to me, saying, ‘Auntie Helen, can you help me get dressed?'”
