UPDATE: Epiphone has just unveiled the highly anticipated Masterbilt Gem Archer Sheraton, a new artist model inspired by the iconic guitar used by Gem Archer of Oasis. This launch is set to make waves in the music community as Archer prepares to showcase the guitar on the upcoming 2025 tour.
The Masterbilt Sheraton, renowned for its stunning craftsmanship, features a semi-hollowbody design crafted from five-ply maple and poplar, enhancing its resonance and sustain. It boasts USA-made Gibson Mini Humbucker pickups and is set to deliver a sound that Archer describes as having “loads of definition and clarity.”
“This is the guitar I asked Noel if he still had when I started playing with him again in 2017,” Archer revealed. “I’m excited to play it alongside my signature model during the Oasis Live ’25 tour.” The guitar’s unique features include a one-piece mahogany neck with a comfortable 60s C profile, adorned with elegant mother-of-pearl inlays.
In addition, Paul “Bonehead” Arthurs has also expressed his enthusiasm for Epiphone’s latest release, stating, “I’m still playing my original 1984 guitar on the Oasis 2025 tour. This new guitar plays great and sounds massive; audiences are going to love it.”
Lee Bartram, Head of Commercial and Marketing EMEA at Gibson, emphasized the significance of this year for live music, marking it as a tribute to iconic reunions. He recalled the first time he saw Archer play the Cherry Red Epiphone Sheraton back on July 2, 2005, in Manchester, underscoring the guitar’s historical importance in the rock scene.
The Masterbilt Gem Archer Sheraton is available in both right- and left-handed versions, and it comes with an Epiphone hardshell case, ensuring it remains protected during travel. With a vintage gloss finish and gold hardware, this model is designed to captivate musicians and fans alike.
As the music world gears up for the 2025 tour, anticipation builds around the Masterbilt Sheraton’s debut. This launch not only pays homage to the legacy of Oasis but also marks a significant moment in the evolution of Epiphone guitars.
Stay tuned for more updates as Archer and Arthurs prepare to take the stage with their new signature models, promising a sound that resonates with both nostalgia and modern excellence.
