URGENT UPDATE: The highly anticipated free indoor playground program for preschoolers is set to launch at the Andy Murphy Neighborhood Center in Kingston, N.Y. on December 2, 2023. This program will provide a warm and safe environment for young children to play and socialize during the colder months, operating every Tuesday and Friday from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Parents and caregivers are encouraged to bring their little ones aged toddler to pre-kindergarten, as adults are required to stay with the children at all times. “This popular program serves as an alternative option for little ones to stay warm while they play and socialize during the colder months,” stated Lynsey Timbrouck, director of the city’s Parks and Recreation Department.
No registration is needed for this free drop-in program, making it easy for families to participate. However, parents should note that the program will be canceled if the Kingston City School District experiences a two-hour delay or closure due to inclement weather.
The indoor playground will take a brief hiatus for the holiday season, closing from December 26, 2023 through January 6, 2026. After this break, the program will resume weekly until March 27, 2026.
Don’t miss this opportunity for your children to enjoy a safe, interactive space during the winter. With no registration required, families can simply show up and play! Share this news with other parents and help spread the word about this exciting community resource.
