Fun and Celebration at Simon Family Jewish Center’s Hanukkah Parade

UPDATE: The Simon Family Jewish Community Center in Virginia Beach hosted its second annual Hanukkah parade on Friday, December 19, 2025, bringing joy and celebration to the community. Families gathered to witness children march, dance, and participate in a vibrant cultural display that captivated attendees.

Wesley Majors, aged 3, joined his classmates in the festivities, showcasing the spirit of Hanukkah. Parents captured the precious moments as their children participated in the parade. Tyler Jacobson snapped photos of his daughter, Scottie, who was 2 years old, cherishing the joyous occasion.

The event featured lively performances, including Strelitz cheerleaders who kicked off the parade, setting an energetic tone for the day. Children dressed in colorful costumes, such as Maddox Sokolick, also 3, who dressed as a crayon, added a whimsical touch to the celebration.
