URGENT UPDATE: For the first time ever, Heritage Ohio has awarded the title of Main Street Manager of the Year to George Sam, executive director of Main Street Medina, during a ceremony at the organization’s annual conference in Canton, Ohio. This prestigious recognition highlights Sam’s exceptional contributions to community revitalization and historic preservation.
Just announced at the conference, Sam expressed his surprise, stating, “It was a total surprise to me. I had no idea until the award ceremony.” He has been an integral part of Main Street Medina since 2018 and was promoted to executive director in 2022.
This award underscores the vital role that Sam and his team have played in enhancing the community. Under his leadership, Main Street Medina has seen significant advancements in preservation efforts and community engagement. “George has led the Main Street Medina organization to new heights through vision, strategy, and an unwavering commitment to community,” noted a press release from Main Street Medina.
