L.A. County Launches 140 New Vote Centers Ahead of Nov. 4 Election

URGENT UPDATE: Los Angeles County has just opened an additional 140 vote centers ahead of the crucial November 4, 2025 special election. This significant expansion adds to the existing 111 sites already in place, providing voters with increased access to cast their ballots for the redistricting of California’s congressional districts.

All 251 vote centers will operate daily from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m., allowing for in-person voting, voter registration, and returns of vote-by-mail ballots. With the election just days away, officials are urging voters to take advantage of these convenient options to avoid last-minute crowds.

Dean C. Logan, Los Angeles County Registrar-Recorder/County Clerk, emphasized the importance of early voting, stating,

“With all L.A. County Vote Centers open, voters have convenient options to cast their ballot early. Avoid the rush, make a plan to vote early this weekend or Monday at a location that’s convenient for you.”

The newly opened centers are strategically located, including prominent sites such as Metro Headquarters and the historic Millennium Biltmore Tower. Voters can find their nearest location by visiting locator.lavote.gov, which also offers GPS tracking for real-time updates on available vote centers.

Eligible voters who missed the registration deadline are still in luck. They can complete a “conditional” voter registration at any vote center and cast their ballots during this election. This provision ensures that all eligible residents can participate in this pivotal decision affecting the state’s congressional representation.

As the November 4 election approaches, the urgency for voter participation grows. The expansion of vote centers not only enhances access but also underscores the importance of civic engagement in shaping California’s political landscape.
