Livermore Wineries Ranked Among Top Women-Owned in U.S.

BREAKING: Two wineries from Livermore Valley have just been recognized among the top women-owned wineries in the United States. The Zoe Report unveiled its prestigious list, placing Darcie Kent Estate Winery at No. 2 and Rosa Fierro Cellars at No. 3, highlighting their exceptional contributions to the wine industry.

Darcie Kent Estate Winery, a sixth-generation winery, earned accolades for its “perfect blend of art, wine, and community.” The winery is celebrated not only for its high-quality wines but also for showcasing the artwork of founder Darcie Kent. “Darcie remains our vintner and artist, walking the vineyards daily and capturing their spirit through her vibrant label paintings,” the winery stated, emphasizing her hands-on approach alongside her daughters, Amanda, now president, and Kailyn, the label designer.

Meanwhile, Rosa Fierro Cellars was commended for its “friendly, down-to-earth atmosphere” and a lively tasting room experience described as “sassy but classy.” Founder Rosie Fierro expressed her pride in owning a winery, stating, “We have a higher percentage of women-owned wineries and winemakers than in other areas throughout the U.S. We are proud of the collaboration and support we give to one another as women in this industry.”

This recognition is particularly noteworthy as eight out of the ten wineries on the list hail from California, with two from Oregon. The achievement of Livermore’s wineries underscores the community’s commitment to empowering women in the wine sector. “Livermore taking both the No. 2 and No. 3 spots is a remarkable accomplishment and a testament to our community’s dedication to women winemakers and leaders who collaborate, uplift, and celebrate one another,” Darcie Kent remarked.
