Lynn Community Health Center Named One of MA’s Top 100 Women-Led Businesses

UPDATE: Lynn Community Health Center (LCHC) has just been recognized as one of the Top 100 Women-Led Businesses in Massachusetts by The Women’s Edge in partnership with The Boston Globe. This prestigious honor marks LCHC’s inaugural entry into the list, coinciding with the program’s 25th anniversary and highlighting the critical impact of women-led leadership in today’s economy.

Under the visionary leadership of CEO Brenda Rodriguez, LCHC has established itself as a beacon of innovation and equity in community health. Rodriguez, who carries over a decade of experience in the sector, previously served as Chief Strategy and Financial Officer at Lowell Community Health Center, where she implemented growth strategies and equitable care practices.

Rodriguez’s personal connection to community health is profound; she is a patient at a federally qualified health center, providing her with firsthand insight into the challenges faced by patients. Her leadership has resulted in expanded access to essential services, strengthened community partnerships, and strategic investments in both financial and clinical sustainability.

“Receiving this recognition alongside so many trailblazing women is truly meaningful,” said Rodriguez. “This belongs to every woman who leads, innovates, and uplifts our mission across the community health center movement. It is an honor to see our work celebrated among organizations and businesses that are redefining the leadership landscape in Massachusetts.”

Brenda embodies the spirit and ambition of LCHC’s mission and values,” stated Drew Russo, Chair of the Lynn Community Health Center Board. “Her lived experience, business acumen, and unwavering commitment to community-centered care give us great confidence in the path ahead. This recognition reflects not just her leadership, but the extraordinary dedication of our entire team.”

LCHC serves over 46,000 patients annually, providing a comprehensive range of services—from primary care and behavioral health to dental and substance use programs—regardless of patients’ ability to pay. With a workforce that is predominantly women and highly diverse, LCHC exemplifies inclusive leadership and community-rooted excellence.

Ranking #38 in its inaugural year on the list, Lynn Community Health Center joins a distinguished group of organizations shaping Massachusetts’s future through purpose, innovation, and inclusive leadership.

As LCHC continues to drive change and inspire others, the community eagerly anticipates the next steps in its mission to enhance health equity and access to care.
