UPDATE: A man in Geneva, N.Y. has been arrested after police discovered a dead dog and multiple illegal firearms in his apartment. The shocking incident unfolded just after 7:20 a.m. on December 29, 2025, when officers responded to reports of suspicious activity at a residence on South Main Street.
Authorities confirmed that Jason Bunnell, 52, was taken into custody following a thorough investigation. Neighbors alerted police after hearing loud “popping” noises, prompting officers to investigate further. Upon arrival, they found a broken exterior window leading to a grim discovery: a dog with apparent gunshot wounds inside the apartment.
