Midlake’s New Album Drops Nov. 7; Concert Set for Nov. 15

UPDATE: Acclaimed Denton band Midlake is set to release their highly anticipated new album, A Bridge to Far, on November 7. This marks the band’s third album since lead singer Eric Pulido took over from original vocalist Tim Smith in 2012.

Midlake’s sound, reminiscent of legends like Genesis and Pink Floyd, continues to evolve, showcasing their signature folk-infused prog-rock style. The new album features standout tracks such as “The Calling,” a captivating foot-tapper enhanced by soaring saxophone duels, and the enchanting “Days Gone By,” which includes a vibrant music video starring British actor James Lance from Ted Lasso, who pays homage to classic cinema with a playful dance sequence.

Before embarking on an extensive 11-city winter tour of Europe, Pulido and his bandmates will perform a special album-release concert in North Texas. This live event is scheduled for 8 p.m. on November 15 at Tulips, located at 112 St. Louis Ave., Fort Worth. Tickets are priced at $34 and can be purchased through tulipsftw.com.

Midlake’s return to the stage not only highlights their musical journey but also reinforces their enduring connection with fans. The excitement surrounding both the album and the concert is palpable, making these events a must for music lovers in the area.

As the release date approaches, anticipation builds for what promises to be another remarkable chapter in Midlake’s legacy. Stay tuned for updates as we cover this unfolding story!
