BREAKING: Sally J. Ifkovits, 62, of Northampton, has passed away after a courageous battle with illness. She died peacefully on November 20, 2025, in the Inpatient Hospice Unit at Lehigh Valley Hospital, surrounded by her beloved family.
Sally’s family, including her husband of 37 years, Michael J. Ifkovits, mourns her loss deeply. Known for her dedication and compassion, Sally spent over 32 years working at People First Federal Credit Union, where she rose from member services manager to card and ATM operations manager.
Born on January 27, 1963, in Allentown, she was the daughter of the late Fred H. and Marion J. (Siegfried) Rex. Sally cherished her family, especially her grandson, Paxton, who brought her immense joy. She is survived by her sons, Riley and wife, Kelly, and Alex and wife, Anna, along with brothers, Keith and Kevin Rex, sister, Susie Weber, and several nieces and nephews.
A visitation for family and friends will take place on Tuesday, December 2nd, from 9:00 to 11:00 a.m. at Reichel Funeral Home, located at 326 E. 21st St., Northampton. A prayer service will follow at 11:00 a.m., with interment scheduled at Fairview Cemetery, Northampton.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions be made to the Pancreatic Cancer Action Network or the Cancer Support Community of the Greater Lehigh Valley in Sally’s memory.
