San Jose Woman Arrested for Murder in Fatal Hit-and-Run

BREAKING: A 34-year-old woman from San Jose has been arrested on suspicion of murder following a deadly hit-and-run incident that occurred just before 7:30 p.m. on Sunday night. The collision, described by authorities as an intentional act, left a woman lying in the roadway, who later succumbed to her injuries.

San Jose police responded to the scene at the intersection of Winchester Boulevard and Tisch Way where medical personnel transported the victim to a local hospital. Unfortunately, she was pronounced dead shortly thereafter. The Santa Clara County Medical Examiner-Coroner’s Office is in the process of confirming her identity and notifying her next of kin.

According to police reports, the suspect, identified as Yanette Beas Solorio, was apprehended approximately two miles from the crash site in Santa Clara. She is currently being held at the Main Jail in San Jose without bail. This incident marks the city’s 24th homicide of the year, a stark comparison to the 29 homicides investigated by police at this time last year.
