The game was dominated by Tumwater’s defense, which delivered an impressive performance with eight sacks and 11 tackles for loss. Offensively, the team showcased a formidable ground game, amassing over 300 yards. Head coach William Garrow praised his players, stating, “Our kids played well tonight in all three phases. It wasn’t perfect, but they really did a nice job executing the game plan.”
Initially, the Thunderbirds found themselves in a tight contest, leading just 7-6 after the first quarter. However, they surged ahead, scoring two touchdowns in the final three frames. Standout player Gavin Kaikkonen rushed for three touchdowns, while quarterback Jaxon Budd connected with tight end Evan Baxter for two more scores.
