URGENT UPDATE: A woman wanted for multiple counts of child rape in Hawaii has been arrested in Worcester, Massachusetts. U.S. Marshals apprehended Coleen Kuamo`o, also known as Malama Kuamo`o, age 43, who is facing serious charges including one count of sexual assault in the first degree and three counts of sexual assault in the third degree.
Authorities report that Kuamo`o is accused of assaulting a child in Wailuku, Hawaii, prompting a coordinated manhunt. “Anyone who thinks they can flee across the country to avoid facing justice is mistaken,” stated Kevin Neal, Acting U.S. Marshal for Massachusetts. “The U.S. Marshals Service is committed to ensuring fugitives face justice – no matter where they run.”
The arrest was made after the Maui Police Department collaborated with the U.S. Marshals in Hawaii, who believed Kuamo`o had traveled to Massachusetts. Surveillance and tracking efforts by local Marshals led to her apprehension on Thursday.
This arrest is part of a broader commitment to public safety, as local police reported a staggering 299 incidents between 10 a.m. Friday and 10 a.m. Saturday in Boston. These incidents included two robberies, six aggravated assaults, and 25 instances of miscellaneous larceny.
The arrest highlights ongoing concerns about child safety and the lengths to which authorities will go to ensure justice. As investigations continue, the community is urged to remain vigilant.
With public safety at risk, more updates are expected as the legal process unfolds. Stay tuned for further developments on this case and additional related incidents in the area.
