KPop Demon Hunters Trio to Perform Live at BAFTA Film Awards

The animated musical series, KPop Demon Hunters, is set to make headlines as its main cast performs live at the BAFTA Film Awards on February 22, 2026. This marks the first time that the trio—comprised of EJAE (Rumi), Audrey Nuna (Mira), and Rei Ami (Zoey)—will take the stage outside the United States. They will present their Grammy-winning hit “Golden” during one of the most prestigious events in British cinema.

In a joint statement, EJAE, Nuna, and Ami expressed their excitement, stating, “Performing at the EE BAFTA Film Awards is a golden moment that our younger selves could never have imagined. We’re so proud to represent Netflix’s KPop Demon Hunters and spread the film’s positive message to fans around the globe.”

Emma Baehr, the executive director of awards and content at BAFTA, highlighted the significant impact of KPop Demon Hunters since its release last summer. “This animated feature has had a phenomenal impact on the hearts and minds of audiences of all ages around the world,” she remarked. Baehr expressed enthusiasm about the addition of the talented singers behind HUNTR/X to the awards ceremony.

Since its launch in June 2025, KPop Demon Hunters has gained immense popularity, becoming Netflix’s most-watched film of all time. The film has achieved over 500 million streams worldwide and has earned a nomination for an Academy Award for Best Animated Feature. Additionally, the song “Golden” has been nominated for Best Original Song, further cementing its status as a cultural phenomenon.

With nearly four billion total streams, “Golden” was the most-streamed song globally last year and continues to attract listeners in 2026. The upcoming BAFTA Film Awards will be held at the Royal Festival Hall in London’s Southbank Centre, hosted by Alan Cumming.

The nominations for this year’s awards were announced in late January, with the film One Battle After Another leading the nominations. As anticipation builds for this star-studded event, the KPop Demon Hunters performance promises to be a highlight of the evening.

The event will be broadcast live on BBC One and BBC iPlayer, allowing fans from around the world to witness this memorable moment in K-pop and film history.
