Stephen Lee, a resident of Bastrop, has been a member of the Board of Regents since 2021. He also serves as the president and CEO of the First National Bank of Bastrop, where he is the ninth individual to hold this position in the bank’s 135-year history. Lee brings over three decades of banking experience, including a significant tenure as president and CEO of First Financial Bank–Southeast Texas for 17 years.
In his role as chairman, Lee will guide the board in its mission to support the educational and administrative functions of the Texas State University System, which serves a diverse student population across multiple campuses.
