Local Paramedic Bryan Bradshaw Named Tennessee VFW EMT of the Year

UPDATE: Local paramedic Lt. Bryan Bradshaw has been awarded the title of EMT/Paramedic of the Year by the Veterans of Foreign Wars (VFW) Department of Tennessee. This prestigious recognition was announced on March 3, 2023, during the VFW Mid-Winter Conference in Manchester, highlighting his exceptional dedication to the health and safety of Tennessee residents.

Bradshaw’s nomination came from Post 2166, where he was previously recognized for his outstanding service. His nomination packet was submitted for state-level consideration on December 31, 2022, showcasing his commitment and professionalism in emergency medical services.

Throughout his career with the Carter County Rescue Squad, Bradshaw has demonstrated remarkable growth, starting as an EMT-Basic and advancing to Advanced EMT and ultimately earning his paramedic license. He has recently completed critical training, elevating his qualifications to a critical care paramedic, enabling him to provide advanced care during emergencies and specialized interfacility transports.
